Monday night I happen to look out the front window and noticed a bunch of my neighbors and a pickup truck with flashing lights in front of the house. I went downstairs and told my husband something is going on in front of the house. We went outside and said what did we miss. They said a small sinkhole popped up in the street and they called the county about it and they were there to patch it. They put about 4 buckets of hot tar down the hole and then drove over it to flatten it down. Wednesday afternoon when my husband went to volunteer he called me and asked me to go look at the patch and see if it had sunk and that I had better move the car. Sure enough the hole started to sink again. So I called the county and they came back out again and said you have a serious problem here – we can’t do anything today but we will try and figure something out and get back out her tomorrow. Then he told me that sink holes were popping up all over. A little while later we heard that a major state round near Annapolis had a sink hole and they had to close the road to repair it. What is going on in Maryland. Then 7 o’clock this morning I hear some noise outside and discover the county is back. They installed a metal plate in the road until they can get back . I grabbed my cell phone to take a picture – I should have used my good camera but it was early and I hadn’t had enough caffeine. Stay tuned
