Another beautiful day – in the 70’s – that’s amazing for June in Maryland. We decided to check out the refuge center in Laurel. We walked on the Forest Trail – about 2 1/2 miles long and drove around the park. The flowers were outside of the visitor center. The water lilies were on a pond alongside the road. We were not even looking for them. What a nice surprise. Will have to go back again to check out some of the other trails. Will also have to check out the southern part of the park near Beltsville.
