Sacajawea State Park is where the Columbia and Snake Rivers meet and where Lewis and Clark camped in October 1805. The park has a small but very nice interpretive center.

View of the park from our room. Great path right along the water

Was surprised to see vineyards on the side of these hills. Not sure how you can get to them

Beautiful sunset tonight. There is even a train in the background

We are on a river cruise on Columbia and snake rivers. Picture of our ship. There are only around 130 people on the cruise

Sky Lounge. Another great place to relax. In the morning there was coffee, tea, fruit and delicious pastries if you did not want a big breakfast in the dining room. . Then later in the day the bar was open. Plus there were always snacks in another corner

The ship had a couple of great places to relax

Itinerary for our trip

Rainy foggy damp day. We decided to head to Mt Spokane State Park. Was surprised to see several areas named after Kit Carson I knew he traveled through many parts of the west but did not realize he had been to Washington

Went out to dinner at the Rusty Moose. Had to try it since it had the word moose in it. Had a great dinner and got this yummy dessert. Apple Marion berry crisp. While eating dessert we heard it start raining. Waiter just brought our check to sign and the power went out. Good thing we decided to eat early and avoid the crowds. The restaurant is right next to our hotel so we made a dash for it only to discover the power was out in hotel. They have a generator so common area lights were on and it was still light out. Went up to our room to relax and then the fire alarm went off and fire department showed up. Luckily no fire. What a memorable start to our vacation
