The humidity is finally gone – at least for a while so we went for a evening walk. I missed walking after dinner. Decided to try and take some more pictures of reflections on the water and this duck was nice enough to swim by.

This beautiful flower is in our front yard. It’s just starting to bloom – love the color. It rained last night and you can still see a few rain drops on the leaves.

Left work on time for a change and just before I got to the Hanover Street bridge, I noticed that there were two police cars ahead and the road was shut down. So what to do – what to do? I made a right hand turn and worked my way over to Russell Street. Went thru an industrial section – a part of Baltimore I had never been – but i kept following the signs for 95 South and hoping for the best. I ended up at this intersection – wow a right hand turn and I am on Russell Street – amazing. Made my way to the Beltway – it was busy – a good reminder as to why I don’t go home that way every night.

Since it was so warm today – in the high 80’s we just decided to go to Quiet Water’s Park. This is a view of the South River from the park. What a great way to celebrate Memorial Day weekend and the beginning of summer. There was a nice breeze – wish we had brought our books with us

Spotted this on a walk around the park. I have never seen anything like it before. Looks like hair on the tree. I also like the shadows on the side of the tree.

Decided to take today off and we decided to go to Gettysburg. We have not been there in a long time. The new visitor center is much larger with lots of exhibits and a cyclorama.

Noticed this in a neighbor’s yard. Love the colors. Will have to look for one for my yard.

Really busy day today and did not have a lot of time to take photos. I stopped at the library on the way home tonight to pick up a book and lo and behold there were all these beautiful flowers on the walkway to the library. What a nice surprise! So of course, I had to put my book downs and take a few photos.
