The last day of August – where did the summer go? Had the day off today as the Grand Prix is in Baltimore and a lot of the roads are closed. It was another hot day – 97 degrees – Ran a lot of errands. While Michael was buying bagels I was outside taking photos. This turned out the best. It’s supposed to be cooler on Sunday and Monday so hopefully we can get out and get some good shots.

Went for our evening walk. It was later than usual so when we got to the marina the tide was coming in.

Busy day today. Went to a co-workers farewell party and then my monthly knitting group so did not have time for a photo. Took this earlier in the summer.

Back to heat and humidity. I will be so glad when cooler weather gets here. Spotted these rocks at the marina. Love the colors

Weather forecast said 30% chance of rain and boy were they wrong. It’s been raining most of the day and we have several downpours. Just checked and it’s going to rain rest of day. We ended up having over 3 inches of rain. These flowers are part of a arrangement on my kitchen island – not sure what the dark colored one is – but really liked the colors.

Met one of the midshipmen that we used to sponsor for dinner tonight He is visiting his brother and his family. Had dinner at Arundel Mills with him and one of his nieces and one of his nephews. It was good to see him again but no time for a walk or photos so decided to use this one that I took in a neighbor’s yard earlier this week

Spotted this by the marina tonight. Could not get close enough to take a great shot. Michael spotted the heron yesterday so hopefully it’s moved into the neighborhood and we will see it again soon and will be able to get a better photo.

I know another water reflection picture. But this one has such pretty shades of blues. It amazes me how the reflections change from hour to hour and day to day.
