The tree in our neighbor’s yard has gotten huge over the years. It’s in full bloom and just beautiful. When I was out taking photos of it tonight, Sherrie told me that they have to get it trimmed because its now hitting the house. Like how the sun is hitting the blossoms.

Since today is Earth Day, I knew I needed someone from the Great Outdoors. Spotted these tulips in a neighbor’s yard. Like the variety of color. I think they might be called parrot tulips but not sure.

Once supper is finished and the dishes done that can only mean one thing – do I have my photo of the day. I headed outside to see what I could find. Was really surprised to see that one of the azaleas bushes on the side of the house had bloomed.

This is the HMS Shannon figurehead that was on display in the exhibit. The HMS Shannon was a British frigate who defeated the USS Chesapeake during the war of 1812. In 1844, the ship was renamed the St Lawerence and the mast was removed in 1852.

After we went to the Street Festival and walked around downtown we headed over to the Naval Academy to see the War of 1812 Exhibit. You need to walk up the stairs to the second floor to see the exhibit.
We are still standing after hiking for about 3 hours. Thanks Eric for taking this great picture
