Last morning in the Finger Lakes. When we came downstairs the front door was open and just had to take a photo. If you are ever in Watkins Glen stay st the Idlwilde Inn
Made it home in 6 hours with three stops. Much better than the trip there. Wish they were closer

Rainy day. We headed to Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. Spotted lots of families
Saw this tree and thought raise your hands and reach for the sky
Then we stopped in Seneca Falls to see the bridge that was inspiration for bridge in movie It’s a Wonderful Life
The innkeeper told us we could enter the Watkins Glen State Park from a back entrance. We finally found path on third try I walked to the suspension bridge and took some pictures. Next time I will take a longer walk

Went to one of our favorite wineries to stock up
Then we headed to taughannock falls
Then on to Buttermilk Falls
Quick stop at wegmans and then back to the Inn. Rainy day so good afternoon to read
Seneca Lake on a rainy afternoon

Went to Sodus Point to see the lighthouses on shore of Lake Ontario. The first one was built in 1870.
Then we headed to Chimney Bluff State Park. It had the climb over and under some downed trees to get a picture
Then we stopped at a winery on the way back to the Inn
80 degrees. It’s warmer here than at home. We are enjoying dinner with this view of Seneca Lake

Decided to drive to Letchworth State Park crazy GPS sent us to Mt Mortis Dam but after a few wrong turns we finally made it

Beautiful day in the Finger Lakes decided to go to Boundary Breaks Winery. The winery is right by the lake.
There were lots of dandelions and I asked if they made dandelion wine. They don’t but we did buy some reisling
Then we stopped at Lodi State park
Found this great rock
We also stopped at SheQuaGa Falls. It rained for the past 10days so lots of water going over the falls

Finally made it to Watkins Glen traffic was a mess because of an accident they closed the highway and we had to take a detour. It took us an extra 2 1/2 hours
It’s only 47 degrees but supposed to be 20 degrees warmer tomorrow so maybe we can sit on the porch
