Another rainy day in Baltimore.  I do not have an office – just a cubicle.  When I was on the way back to my cube I noticed that it was really dark outside and then all of a sudden it started pouring.  I have never seen it rain this hard.  It looked like a waterfall between the federal building and the building next door. I tried to take some pictures but it was hard with all the reflections.  This one gives you an idea of how hard it was raining.   Walked to the other side of the office to look out the window and could barely see the Constellation ship in the Inner Harbor.  Even though it was quitting time there was no way was I going to venture out in that.  Thank goodness 15 minutes later it stopped and everything was clear. Managed to make it almost all the way home before it started raining again.  Rain is in the forecast for the next few days.

Got a chance to go on the roof of the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Baltimore today.  The company I work for manages a building in downtown Baltimore and the owner wanted me to try and take some pictures of the building.  They just completed a major landscaping project last year.  The flowers that they planted last year are now in bloom and they wanted an updated photo.  So a co-worker and I got to go on two of the three roofs.  The building is kitty corner to the building.   We went on the lower roof first but it was hard to get a good photo of the building with the landscaping so the Chief Engineer of the building was kind enough to take us up to the the next roof.  There are three.  Even though it was overcast today the views were amazing and it was great to have a different perspective.  I could have stayed up there a long time taking photos but did not want to overstay my welcome.  I managed to take several photos of the building and a few more photos of the Baltimore skyline.  This is one of the skyline facing north from the Inner Harbor.

How would you like this job?  Most people at work know I try to take a photo a day.  They should – I have lots of photos all over my cubicle walls.  One of my co-workers called me this morning and said I have your photo of the day you need to come into my office and hurry.  So I grabbed my camera – was surprised to see 8 window washers on the building across the street.  It was hard to take a good picture because of the angle and the reflections on the building.  I have worked downtown for a number of years but have never seen that many window washers at once – usually it’s one or two.  If you click on the picture it makes it bigger and you can see the window washers better

Got up a little earlier than usual today so I had some extra time and decided to stop at Federal Hill before work.  Wanted to see if I could find something besides flowers for my photo of the day   Liked the different colors of the bush and as I was trying to focus, I realized that my shadow was in the picture and decided to see what it would look like.  So instead of flowers – it’s a bush and my shadow

When I was leaving my office for a lunch time meeting, I was trying to decide what to do for my photo of the day when the tables and chairs and shadows caught my eye.  So decided to take a few photos and was happy with the results.  Something different than flowers for a change and thought the shadows were interesting
