What a nice surprise.  One of my friends in our office wanted to show me something outside our office window.  When I looked out the window I spotted this tall ship.  So of course I had to head over to the harbor after work. Took a lot of pictures and it was hard to decide on the best one.

The Statsraad Lehmkuhl is a three-masted barque rigged sail training vessel owned and operated by the Statsraad Lehmkuhl Foundation. It is based in Bergen, Norway and contracted out for various purposes, including serving as a school ship for the Royal Norwegian Navy

Stopped at the harbor before work this morning  Took the picture of the ship with the flags.  Love the colors. Tried to take some more pictures but the camera started acting up again saying disc was full – impossible we deleted them last night.  So off to CVS to get a new disc.  Put the new disc in and ready to go – end of problem.  The other two pictures were taken from our office window.  The Pride of Baltimore is ship in front of Domino Sugar and in the group of three ships.  Heard that the ships will be back in 2014 – sure hope so.

Stopped at the Inner Harbor before work this morning.  It was really cloudy out and I had only taken a few picture when camera flashes a message – disc is full – oh no say its not so!   I thought I had erased all of the pictures when I loaded the disc into the computer but guess something happened and they were not erased.  So I only had a few pictures to choose from.  This is from the Indonesian tall snap.  Love the colors and the designs.  The tall ships leave tomorrow so hope the weather cooperates and I can get some more shots.

Sailabration continues.  Stopped at the Inner Harbor this morning before I went to work.  Could not believe all of the people that were already there.   Al Roker was  doing a broadcast for the Today Show.  I could not decide what to take a picture of first.  These tall ships are the Cisne Branco from Brazil and the Cuauhtemoc from Mexico. The shot of the fireboat was taken in the afternoon from an office window.

Today is the first day of the Star Spangled Sailabration and the Tall Ships have started arriving in Baltimore.  Took this shot from the office window.  Notice the crew standing on the rigging.  Star-Spangled Sailabration is an international parade of more than 40 tall ships and naval vessels.  The ships are sailing into Baltimore for the national launch of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 and the writing of the Star-Spangled Banner.   Hope I can get some more great shots tomorrow
