I think these are lilacs. We had a lilac tree in our yard when I was growing up. It was the only tree in the backyard and we all used to crowd under the tree to get some shade

It finally stopped raining and things are drying out. I went out in the yard early this morning to see if there were any raindrops on the tulips. Took a bunch of pictures and this one turned out the best
