We decided to go on an Orca Whale Watching Tour with Aaron Photos. We met up with our tour group (5 other people plus Aaron) this morning and headed to Anacondas to catch the ferry. While we were waiting for the ferry we spotted this blue heron and he was kind enough to pose in front of Mt. Baker

Since we didn’t have to meet our tour group until 7 o’clock tonight, we decided to drive to Mt. Rainer. It was about a two hour drive from Seattle. The park was beautiful – wish we could have spent a lot more time there

Myrtle Falls. We weren’t sure if there would be any water coming over the falls as this area of Washington is suffering from a drought They normally have over 600 inches of snow and last year and they only had 200

Parada Falls in Mount Ranier Park. We were heading out of the park and stopped at the overlook. We took a few pictures and then noticed you could walk down to base of the falls. We weren’t sure if we had enough time to get back to Seattle to meet with our tour group but decided to walk to the bottom and are we glad we did.
We weren’t the only ones out whale watching. The first photo is of a tour group from British Columbia and are all decked out in their rain gear since they travel at high speeds to find the perfect location
Sure glad we are on a small 30 ft boat with just 8 of us so we all have room to move around and try to capture some great shots
