Another beautiful fall day in Baltimore so we decided to walk to Fells Point. Spotted this rooftop. Not sure what’s its supposed to represent. There are Halloween decorations hanging from the metal pole. I have been to Fells Point numerous times but never spotted this before.

Another beautiful day. A bit warm for fall though – low 80’s. Decided to head to Downs Park and see if any of the leaves have changed. As you can see – not much of a change yet.

Michael volunteers at the hospital on Wednesday afternoons and usually does not get home until 6:30, so I decided to stop at Kinder Park on the way home to see if any of the leaves had changed. Drove to the far end of the park and parked. Then I looked in the trunk for my hiking boots – not there – Oh no, where could they be. I checked the back seat and didn’t see them so not sure where they are. Oh well, since I am already here I’ll just walk on the path a way and see if I see any color. Nothing caught my eye so decided to stop by the pond on the way out of park. I stopped and parked the car and then had to slip between the rails so I could get to the pond. Thank goodness no one could see me because it wasn’t pretty. Made it through the woods even though I had on my boots with a heel and sunk in the ground a couple of times. Took a couple of pictures and then headed back to the car. Had to slip between the fence rails and once again thank goodness no one was around. As i straightened up I noticed that there is a big grass stain on the left knee of my pants that I just got out of the cleaners. Oh well – the price of a photo of the day. As I get closer to the car I notice the sign that says No Parking. Oops. Thank goodness I didn’t get a ticket.

We made good time so we decided to stop in Catskill and drive down to the point and see if we could get some good pictures. We have not been there in years. It has been turned into a really nice park. There is a playground, food stand, boat launch area and benches. I forgot to pack the big lens so had to make due with the lens on the camera. I was surprised that this turned out so nice. The leaves are just starting to change and there was very little red color and what color there is seems to be dull.

We went to New York today for a surprise birthday party for my sister. Whenever I spot the Shawangunk Mts., I know I we are almost there. I guess when you grow up close to the mountains they always stay with you.

Baltimore Book Festival starts today. We decided to check it out during lunch time. Was surprised to see how big it’s gotten. Lots of books, booths, food and even some music. Would have liked to have spend some time checking out all the books but had to get back to work.

We got back from vacation around midnight on Friday night. Had a great vacation but I lost my small point and shoot camera somewhere along the way Better that camera than one of my Nikons. It’s been hard to get back in the groove taking pictures at home after such spectacular scenery in Wyoming and Utah. Since it was such a beautiful day, went for a long walk lunchtime. Came across this strange vehicle near the Inner Harbor. It had a row of beer taps in the middle but also some musical instruments like a clarinet and saxophone. Strange combo. There was no one nearby so I couldn’t ask
