Delicate Arch has become a widely recognized symbol of the state of Utah and is one of the most famous geologic features in the world. The park has over 2,000 stone arches and this arch is on the top of many visitors to do list. The trail to Delicate Arch is 3 miles roundtrip and climbs 480 feet. Once you get to the arch you can stand in a long line to get your picture taken standing under the arch. After leaving Silverton, Colorado we drove over the “Million Dollar Highway” which is always in the top ten roads to see in the USA. Some people call this part of Colorado “Little Switzerland” since there are a number of 14,000 foot mountains in the area that offer some of the best mountain scenery in all of Colorado
