Could not believe all the people on this whale watching tour – doesn’t look like there is much room to maneuver – so glad that we are on a small 30 ft boat and there are only 8 of us including the captain.  We have room to move around the boat.Whale Watching BoatOrca whale watchersThis boat traveled from British Columbia and since they have to travel at fast speeds to get to area where the orcas are they have to wear rain gear.

Today was our first whale watching tour.  Aaron arranged for us to go out on a six hour tour with Captain Spencer of Maya’s Legacy Whale Watching.  Most tours are only three hours but Aaron made special arrangements to give us more time on the water.

It took a while for us to get used to taking photos on a rocking boat but we got some great shots

We decided to go on an Orca Whale Watching Tour with Aaron Photos.  We met up with our tour group (5 other people plus Aaron) this morning and headed to Anacondas to catch the ferry.  While we were waiting for the ferry we spotted this blue heron and he was kind enough to pose in front of Mt. Baker
