Beautiful day and neither of us had any meetings so we decided to go to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge. We were t sure how much we would see since it was warm and middle of the days. Saw lots of herons snd egrets and turtles
The wildflower gardens were in full bloom managed to catch a bee on this plant
Nice Saturday afternoon so we headed to CBEC. It was a little warm but a great day to be outside. We are so lucky to live near CBEC

There are a lot of these by the path to the boat launching site. The bees were having a grand time tonight. If you look closely you can see one at the bottom of the flower. It’s hard to get close. Stay tuned – may be more this week with hopefully some more bees

Now that the weather is nicer Michael had been walking at Kinder Park some mornings instead of the treadmill. Scenery is much nicer at the park. He managed to capture two bees on this flower – love the shadows.

First day of summer and it feels like it. It’s 97 degrees out and tomorrow is supposed to be even warmer. Too hot to venture far so took this picture in my neighbor’s yard. The bee was nice enough to stop by.
