Front row seats. Another day – another park. Today we headed to Downs Park. We haven’t been to the park on a week day – there were just a few people there and all the benches were empty. A lot of people have donated benches in the memory of a loved one – what a great idea.
The benches are on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay.

Happiness is being able to walk in the park after 11 weeks in a cast, and walking boot and also being able to drive again. Even thought it was in the high 40’s and windy we went to Downs Park. I managed to walk to the Turtle Pond and back.

We went to Quiet Water Park so I could get some exercise on my scooter but when we got there we discovered that the flat part of the trail by the South River overlook was closed so we went to another part of the park where we though the trail was very level. Well it had some hills and there were gum balls from the trees on the trail. Needless to say its hard to maneuver a knee scooter when there are gum balls all over the trail so we didn’t go very far. So we decided to ride around and found a road right alongside the Bay

It’s Saturday – it’s not raining and even though it’s windy the sun is out so we headed to the Eastern Shore. We ended up at the Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge. We haven’t been there in a long time. We hoped to see some wildlife – we spotted some hawks and a red fox. Also spotted some birds but they were too far in the distance
