Spent the morning working in the yard. Mowed the lawn and then picked apples – not from the trees but off the ground. It seems like there is a bumper of apples this year. Decided to head over to the Patuxent Research Refuge in Laurel. Did not realize it was hunting season so a lot of the trails were closed. But we did manage to find a couple of spots to get some good shots

The trees were just starting to turn early in the week and today they seem to be at peak. Took this in the backyard. Hope to get out this weekend and take some more pictures

Had to stop at one of our office buildings in Annapolis to drop off some mail and noticed this tree. Don’t remember seeing anything like this before. Does anyone know what kind of tree it is?

It’s Saturday and it’s not raining – that means its time for a road trip. We decided to head to Gambrill State Park outside of Frederick. We have driven by the signs for the park numerous times but have never stopped. We both had several layers of fleece jackets on but when we got out of the car it was chillier than what we thought – luckily our windbreakers were in the truck so we added another layer and headed down the trail. Took lots of pictures since fall is my favorite season. This is just a few
