Made it home in 6 hours with three stops. Much better than the trip there. Wish they were closer
Rainy day. We headed to Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. Spotted lots of families
Saw this tree and thought raise your hands and reach for the sky
Then we stopped in Seneca Falls to see the bridge that was inspiration for bridge in movie It’s a Wonderful Life
The innkeeper told us we could enter the Watkins Glen State Park from a back entrance. We finally found path on third try I walked to the suspension bridge and took some pictures. Next time I will take a longer walk
Finally made it to Watkins Glen traffic was a mess because of an accident they closed the highway and we had to take a detour. It took us an extra 2 1/2 hours
It’s only 47 degrees but supposed to be 20 degrees warmer tomorrow so maybe we can sit on the porch

We decided to drive to Robert Treman State Park to see the waterfalls We made a stop at Wegmans grocery store in Ithaca. It’s the biggest grocery store I have ever been in. Over 30 self checkouts.

Last night at the Gothic Inn. All of the rooms are named after wines. They have a spa and offer massages
Morning sky at Idlwilde Inn. If you are ever in the Finger Lakes this is a great place to stay. It overlooks Seneca Lake. This was our third time there.
Stopped by the harbor, Was surprised to see there were no boats docked. There was no one around so I managed to get a photo without waiting
I had to have my daily fix of Chai tea so we stopped at a great coffee shop in Watkins Glen – Babes and Buds The cinnamon buns were warmed up and delicious and the chair was great. If you are ever in the area be sure and stop by
We decided to drive around the lake since we could not check into our other Inn until 3 stopped at a park overlooking Cayuga Lake
Decided to go back to Montezuma Wildlife Refuge. Spotted lots of blue herons and even a couple of eagles. When we were there on Tuesday the rangers were stocking fish in several places. We were surprised they were still in same spot

Stopped at Taughnock Falls for a quick photo before we checked in at the Inn
Owner of B and B suggested we go to boundary breaks winery. The view of the lake was great
Then we stopped at Lakewood Winery to get some port wine for a friend. Of course we had to try the wine while we were there

Then we decided to head to the Glen Curtiss Museum. If you are ever in the area it’s well worth the trip. I had never heard of him and was not aware he was in competition with the Wright Brothers and was very innovative
Time clock to punch in work at Curtis aviation I have never had to punch in. However I now have to log in using Workday on the computer
Then we decided to stop at Dr Constantine Frank Winery that overlooks Keuka Lake. since it was late afternoon we decided to do a cheese and charcuterie board. They paired the wine with the offerings. Everything was delicious
