The melting continues

The melting continues

Had to go to Annapolis this morning and surprised to see there is still ice in the Bay

Morning sky

Temperatures hit over 40 degrees and the meltdown continues. We can actually see grass in places. Just saw a note that we have 18 days in a row with one inch or more of snow on the ground

It only made it to 39 degrees but it was great walking. Decided to head over to Libbys to see if I could get some pictures of the Bay

If you enlarge this you can see there is still some ice in the Bay

Another day above freezing so more melting. The contractors cleared one of the walking paths. The propane contractor finally made it out today to read the meters. It’s been so icy he couldn’t get the meters.

Finally it was not bitter old when we walked this afternoon and some of the ice and snow is melting . Had to run some errands and decided to go to watermen’s basin to check out the ice around the work boats

Tonight’s sunset
After 9 days of freezing cold it finally hit 32 degrees

There is still a sheet of ice in the back yard

Another cold one. It was 15 degrees but we walked this morning. Had to walk on the road as sidewalks are not all clear
Went to Annapolis for dinner and the Bay is almost completely frozen. Last time it froze was in 1976

Still really cold and not much melting going
