I went outside on the deck to check and see how warm it was and spotted two squirrels. Went back inside to get my camera and when I got back outside one of the squirrels ran off into the woods and the other one scampered up a tree

Foamy. A nice day today so we went for a walk around the neighborhood. Not much to see since mot of the flowers are not in bloom yet. Tried taking some pictures at the marina and thought this one was a little different

There is a tradition in parts of Maryland that on the first day of spring you burn your winter socks since no self respecting boater would wear them in the summertime. This tradition started in Eastport – near Annapolis in the 1970’s. Since we had snow on Friday, our local community celebrated on Saturday afternoon at our community center.

First day of spring in Maryland started with snow

It started snowing around 7 o’clock this morning and it’s still snowing at 5 pm. This is the most snow we have had all winter – six or seven inches. Lots of offices were closed today and the governor asked everyone to stay home so they could clear the roads so it’s a Snow Day!!
