Several years ago my brother in law gave me a clipping from a Rose of Sharon bush from my childhood home.  We planted it in our side yard and it seemed to do well until a couple of years ago.  We transplanted it to another spot in the yard and hoped for the best.  This year it seems to be doing great and this is the first bloom.  There are lots of buds so hoping for the best

While I was out mowing the lawn this morning, I noticed a bloom on my Rose of Sharon bush.  My brother in law gave me two clippings from the Rose of Sharon Bush at my childhood home several years ago.    I planted them in our side yard and then did really well until late last year when they started dying.  We transplanted them to another part of the yard.  I wasn’t sure they were going to make it so I was delighted to see this bloom.
