A warm sunny day so we headed to Quiet Waters Park. Spring seems to be late this year. Only a few of the trees have started to bloom. The daffodils along the steps to the pavilion are not even in bloom yet.
The newspaper said that this year may be the latest that the cherry blossoms will bloom which may work to our advantage since we are busy next weekend and wouldn’t be able to go to DC. Let’s hope the weather is nice and the trees are in blossom in two weeks.
Happy Easter to everyone.

There is a tradition in parts of Maryland that on the first day of spring you burn your winter socks since no self respecting boater would wear them in the summertime. This tradition started in Eastport – near Annapolis in the 1970’s. Since we had snow on Friday, our local community celebrated on Saturday afternoon at our community center.

I bought this frog several years ago in Stowe, Vermont. A very crafty lady takes rocks, paints them and makes whimsical animals and sells them in her craft shop I put the frog and the turtle (that I posted yesterday) back in the yard this past weekend since I thought spring was here. It snowed most of yesterday but we only had a little accumulation. I noticed the frog this morning when I went out to go to work and had to stop and take some photos

Is it summer already? Temperatures hit 90 yes 90 degrees today. It was so warm, we turned the air conditioning on to cool off the house so we can sleep tonight. I know – we are wimps – but I can deal with cold much better than heat. Another warm day tomorrow and then back to reality and 60 degree temperatures for the weekend. These flowers are in my neighbor’s yard. The grass in the background is our yard. These phlox really popped out in the last few days

What a beautiful day. Right now I am sitting in my family room with the windows and sliding door wide open – blue skies – birds chirping and the temperatures are in the 70’s. Its supposed to be warm for the next few days so hopefully I will be able to take a long walk at lunchtime around the Inner Harbor. Took this picture outside the library It was the only one that came out. I miss my Nikon – hopefully only a few more days before I get it back
