A chilly windy day. The shade in the office got fixed. The landscaping contractors cleaned up the garden and planted some new plants and a butterfly bush and fixed a drainage problem and contractors checked out the roof
And the Christmas tree is about 95 percent decorated. Have to wait for our son to hang some ornaments near top of tree
Winter has arrived. It was in then the 30s this morning. Spotted a new neighbor
Afternoon sky
Bought a new Christmas tree. This one has lights already on it Love it. It’s bigger and bushier than we thought. Had to spend a lot of time fluffing it. . Almost finished decorating
Finally finished decorating the tree. Last Saturday we got the tree out of storage only to discover we did not have a tree stand. The one we had last year broke. We thought we ordered one but after some research we realized we never received it and order was cancelled. So we ordered one and it came on Monday. So Monday night we put the tree up. Tuesday Michael put the lights and garland on and we started decorating. Wednesday more decorating but ran out of small hooks. Thursday we went to Homestead gardens to look for a new angel top and some hooks. Very small selection of angels and nothing we liked and no small hooks.
Some more decorating and today I just filled in some holes
Busy day and not much time for photo ops and I missed sunset. We were busy getting all the Christmas things out. How did we end us with 6 big tubs? tree is up and snow village buildings are out but decorating will have to wait til tomorrow.
I was on my way to Severna Park when I noticed the sunset so I took a quick detour to Hemingways and took a bunch of pictures. I love living on the Eastern Shore with all its beautiful scenery and sunrises and sunsets.
