We had some more snow today – this time we got about two inches. For a while this morning it was like a winter wonderland. But by the afternoon the snow had melted from most of the trees and there was blue sky. Thank goodness I walked around the yard around noon and took a bunch of pictures

A rainy dreary day. Would rather have had snow – but too warm for that – although snow is in forecast for tomorrow and Tuesday. Maybe it will get cold enough to snow tonight. Our last day at the lake so we are relaxing in front of the fireplace with wine, chocolates and books.

After breakfast we headed out to Thomas, West Virginia. There was an article in the Washington Post recently that a lot of new shops had opened in Thomas and since we had not been there in a long time decided to take a drive. Yes, a lot of new shops have opened but for some strange reason most of them were closed. Then we headed to Blackwater Falls State Park – can’t remember the last time we were there. Stopped at the Falls and several overlooks. When we were walking back from one of the overlooks we noticed two deer. They are used to people and seemed to be posing for us. Liked this one the best and so did a lot of other people. It made the popular page on my 365Project.

Last summer when we stayed at the Squire House, Roger told us about this great country road. So when we were there in winter, decided to take a drive on the road once again. We were amazed that even though it was a side road, road crews had already plowed and sanded the road
