View of the falls from Lookout Point. It was an amazing day. We left Fox Hollow around 9 this morning and got back around 9 tonight. Took lots and lots of pictures and it was hard to narrow them down. You could spend days and days in the park Everywhere you turn, there is another great shot.

Had to make two trips down the hill to see the buffalo. After we took a few pictures, we thought we should go back to the truck to get the tripod and take some with the tripod. After we uploaded the pictures tonight, we think the ones we took without the tripod came out better. In fact, we decided we need a new tripod – that might be our mission tomorrow since it was a long day today we lots of driving.

Spotted our first elk just after we entered the park. We noticed a whole bunch of cars and trucks stopped by the side of the road so of course we had to stop and check it out. This young elk was munching by the river. There were quite a few people taking photos. He didn’t mind at all – just kept eating. Most of the people got within 15 to 20 ft of the elk. After we left, I started reading one of the park handouts – and they advise you keep at least 25 yards away from the elk! Oops.
