Beautiful December Day so we headed to Blackwater Wildlife Refuge.
Checking things out. Last time we were here there were two eagles hanging out there, Must be one of their favorite spots

We weren’t sure what all these sticks were so we went on line and found a picture with a note that these are erosion sticks. 8,000 acres or 12 sq miles of marsh land have been lost since the park was established. The sticks are just one of several different methods to help restore some of the wetlands
