Beautiful day today. Started out looking for covered bridges. Then went to Bennington Monument. We have seen it from a distance but never close up. Then to Robert Frost’s home where he lived in the 1920’s where he wrote Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. Last stop the Old First Church. Which was completed in 1805. They are in the midst of a major renovation project so there is a lot of scaffolding. Will have to stop once project is finished and hopefully we will be able to see the inside. Robert Frost’s grave is behind the church

Vacation time. Left at 10 instead of 9 and got stuck in traffic backup. Emergency repairs on Kent Narrows Bridge. Only one lane. Made good time until we got to Troy. Next time we will leave at 9

Staying in Bennington at Four Chimneys Bed and Breakfast. We haven’t been in Bennington in years
