Another beautiful day.  We decided to go to Kinder Park.  Had a great time.  Was surprised to see two ospreys in a nest.  We walked around the park and was surprised to see the number of people on the path.  Then we walked over to the garden.  We have been to the park lots of times but never walked over to the gardens.  Was surprised to see these crocuses popping up.  Then we decided to take a path to see if the ospreys were still there.  Had not been on this path before and was surprised to see some cages with a red tailed hawk and a horned owl.  Had to really watch the owl to see him move.  The ospreys were still there – we took some pictures of the osprey but they didn’t turn out like we wanted.

It’s Saturday, it’s supposed to be in the 60’s today with blues.  A good day for a road trip.  We decided to go to National Harbor.  It’s a big complex with lots of hotels, restaurants and shops.  The Gaylord Hotel is just amazing.  We walked around, took a lot of pictures, and had a late lunch.  We stopped at the Stonewall Kitchen store – love that store and was really happy to see one close to us.  The store at National Harbor is the only one outside of New England.  They always have samples of their goodies out.  Of course, we left with a bagful of things to try – the chocolate lava cake just sounded so good…….

Lin and Michael's Snows

Lin and Michael’s Snows

The weather forecasters were predicting 3 to 5 inches in our area.  I was excited – I can get some more snow pictures.  But – the storm did not track like they thought and all we got was rain, rain and more rain.  So since photo ops were limited today, I decided to take a picture of our family room window to show the rain.

Didn’t have any great photo ops on Monday so on the way home Tuesday night I noticed the clouds were amazing so took a detour and stopped at Kinder Park.  Took a bunch of pictures and decided to use one for Monday and one for Tuesday.  Liked the clouds between the trees and the vines just seemed to be going every which way.  Thought it was something different than the usual tree silhouettes
