What a strange day. Weather forecasters were warning of dangerous thunderstorms all day. At 9 am it got really dark so I quickly headed downstair and went out on the plaza and snapped a couple of photos before the storm hit. 15 minutes later and it was all clear. Then just after I got home this afternoon another storm hit. Thank goodness our area did not get hit really bad. We have a tendency to lose power when these storms hit and it is too hot and humid to be without air conditioning.

While walking to my Wednesday meeting, I passed the Renaissance Hotel and thought I would take a picture of the hotel to show everyone the roof I was on last week when I was taking pictures of one of the buildings we manage. I was on the middle roof – and the building in the background is where my office is located I was standing in front of the building I took the pictures of last week

Another rainy day in Baltimore. I do not have an office – just a cubicle. When I was on the way back to my cube I noticed that it was really dark outside and then all of a sudden it started pouring. I have never seen it rain this hard. It looked like a waterfall between the federal building and the building next door. I tried to take some pictures but it was hard with all the reflections. This one gives you an idea of how hard it was raining. Walked to the other side of the office to look out the window and could barely see the Constellation ship in the Inner Harbor. Even though it was quitting time there was no way was I going to venture out in that. Thank goodness 15 minutes later it stopped and everything was clear. Managed to make it almost all the way home before it started raining again. Rain is in the forecast for the next few days.
There is a flower, a little flower
With silver crest and golden eye,
That welcomes every changing hour,
And weathers every sky.
– James Montgomery, A Field Flower
Daisies have always been one of my favorite flowers. I had to stop at church this morning to drop something off and these daisies were in one of the flowerbeds in front of the church Of course, I had to go back to the car and get my camera and take a few shots. Love how I managed to capture the raindrops. We have had rain on and off for several days now and more rain is in the forecast for the next few days.
