What a beautiful day today. The skies were so blue and clear that you could see for miles. The temperatures only reached the high 70’s. After supper, I headed to the marina – really wanted to get photos of something besides flowers. It was so relaxing just sitting on the pier – no phones, no traffic noises, no computers. The weather was perfect

Rainy day today. After work, I made it to the garage before it started raining. On the way home the skies opened up – had to slow down and put the wipers on high. When I got home had to make a mad dash from the car to the house. After supper, headed outside to see if I could find any flowers that still had some raindrops on them.

Just singing in the rain. Another warm and humid day so we did not venture out this afternoon. Just after we finished grilling tonight the rain started – usually it starts raining when we are grilling but it held off tonight. Decided to get my newest rubber ducks and see if I could get a good photo. Put the ducks on the porch and then left the sliding glass door open and sat on family room floor and took some photos. I was hoping to capture rain drops but guess it was not raining hard enough. I do like the reflections. We do need the rain – grass was starting to turn brown and some of the flowers were wilting.

Quiet Oasis. We spent a great afternoon with friends. They had a BBQ to show off their new home and to meet their little boy Oliver. He is a 9 months old now and is just a joy On the way home, I asked my husband to stop at the pond that I tried to get some photos of last night. It was a little later than last night so the lighting was better. Michael took this shot – love the reflections. Hard to believe this little park is in the middle of several busy roads

How can this be the end of May. Where has the time gone. I did not intend to post another flower picture today. Traffic was a mess coming home tonight so decided to go the back way. I had to stop for a red light and noticed a lot of unique things in front of an antique store. I made a quick left hand turn and ended up parking by the small park in town. When I got out of the car some flowers caught my eye and I walked inside the gardens. Did not realize that there was a small pond and a little waterfall. Took a bunch of shots but was not happy with them. Lighting was not right – will have to stop by another day at a different time of day. Then I noticed this tree and since I am trying to use the camera in manual mode and working on depth of field I took a bunch of pictures. Could not decide which one of these two I liked the best. Your thoughts.

Felt like summer today – temperatures hit 90 degrees and it’s supposed to stay warm for several days. Oh no – bring back the 70 degree temps. Stopped at the library on the way home for some books I had put on reserve. Love being able to go on the internet and put books on reserve. Wanted to do something today besides flowers so since books, wine and relaxing after work were on my mind ….

How would you like this job? Most people at work know I try to take a photo a day. They should – I have lots of photos all over my cubicle walls. One of my co-workers called me this morning and said I have your photo of the day you need to come into my office and hurry. So I grabbed my camera – was surprised to see 8 window washers on the building across the street. It was hard to take a good picture because of the angle and the reflections on the building. I have worked downtown for a number of years but have never seen that many window washers at once – usually it’s one or two. If you click on the picture it makes it bigger and you can see the window washers better
