The afternoon really seemed to drag today.  Guess I was just anxious for the weekend to get here.  Went to a new restaurant for dinner – had a nice meal and shared an awesome dessert with my husband – it was called a naughty angel.  wow – white cake with chocolate mouse in the middle – with white chocolate chips on the tops and side.  When I got home I took a bunch of pictures of tree blossoms in the front yard but they didn’t turn out that great so I headed back out to try again.  Put the camera on manual but it was too dark and was taking forever for the shutter to click so decided to just head back into the house and this is the result.  Not sure I could do it again.  Thought it was really something different.  Hope to head out shortly to get some good photos.  Hope everyone has a great weekend and finds lots of good photo ops.

Is it summer already?  Temperatures hit 90 yes 90 degrees today.  It was so warm, we turned the air conditioning on to cool off the house so we can sleep tonight.  I know – we are wimps – but I can deal with cold much better than heat.  Another warm day tomorrow and then back to reality and 60 degree temperatures for the weekend.  These flowers are in my neighbor’s yard.  The grass in the background is our yard.  These phlox really popped out in the last few days

A key for everything!  What a beautiful day – temperatures hit 80 degrees and it’s supposed to be nice for a couple more days and then back to reality and 60 degrees by Friday.  A co-worker and I went for a long walk at lunchtime.  She needed to get some keys made so we walked to a store that made keys.  While the keys were being made, I was snapping pictures.  I had never seen a display like this and thought it was interesting and something different.

What a beautiful day.  Right now I am sitting in my family room with the windows and sliding door wide open – blue skies – birds chirping and the temperatures are in the 70’s.  Its supposed to be warm for the next few days so hopefully I will be able to take a long walk at lunchtime around the Inner Harbor.  Took this picture outside the library  It was the only one that came out.  I miss my Nikon – hopefully only a few more days before I get it back

A good friend of mine had a luncheon for a group of very creative women this afternoon.  It was really great meeting new people and talking about their passion  Thank you Lynn.  Spotted this colorful ball in the corner of her family room.  Love all the colors

Blue skies and sunshine today – but still windy.  Had to run a bunch of errands in Annapolis today so decided to go to Quiet Waters Park to see if the cherry trees were in bloom.  The trees closest to the pavilion are in bloom but the ones in the parking lot are just starting.  Michael dropped off our Nikon camera to get cleaned yesterday so going to have to rely on the small Canon for a while so not as much flexibility.

My backyard is all trees.  Several years ago while I was trying to clear some brush and clean up the backyard I came across this old push lawnmower.  I decided to save it and its stayed in a part of the backyard.  I had forgotten all about it until tonight.    Another long day at work with little chance to photo ops so after dinner tonight, I went in the backyard to see if there was anything I could use for photo of the day.  I was surprised at all the violets and especially how they grew around this old push lawnmower.
