Had a great day. When we were here over New Year’s the canoe was frozen in the middle of McHenry Cove. After we left, there was a warming spell and the canoe floated to shore on the opposite side of the cove. The cove and the lake is still mostly frozen.

There is still snow on the ground and most of the lake is still frozen. This was taken from the porch of the Lakepointe Inn. It’s great to be back at the inn – I am sitting in front of the fireplace, with some wine, chocolates, and a good book and my husband. Life is good!

Took the day off and headed for Deep Creek Lake for the weekend. We stopped at Knob Hill Winery which is in Clear Lake, Maryland. It’s out in the country in the middle of now where – we tried some of their wines and ended up buying some. They have really interesting names for their wines – Jealous Mistress and Tryst
When I uploaded the pictures I noticed the signs – Kiss French – Drink Maryland. Have never heard that expression before

The flowers in the front yard are starting to bloom. It’s amazing that the one is in full bloom and the other one is only open a little.

My day to do the bank run so decided to make a quick stop at Barnes and Nobel and pick up some books. So snapped a couple of quick pictures at the Inner Harbor.

Most of the snow is gone and it was in the 50’s today. Stopped at the library on the way home and noticed a few flowers with snow close by so took a few photos.

Was really surprised to see that it had snowed during the night. After I cleaned off both vehicles, I took a bunch of pictures. I was really surprised how this one turned out. Took this photo from our deck. It was one of the last photos I took before heading off to work. This picture ended up making the popular page on 365Project. A lot of people thought it had a magical feel to and I agree

Woke up a big surprise this morning. It actually snowed during the night and it was still snowing. The last time I checked the weather they said a possible wintry mix and maybe an inch or so. The snow has passed us by so many times this winter, everyone was surprised that it actually snowed. After I cleared off both vehicles, I took a bunch of pictures before going to work.

YOU QUACK ME UP!
Went and did some grocery shopping this morning. After we got home, had some tea and read some papers and then decided to start supper. Thought I would make my son’s favorite meal. I found that if I make it in the crockpot it comes out really tender. Had almost everything in the crockpot and and then realized I was missing paprika. So had to go back to the store. We have two stores close by. One is really busy and sometimes it’s hard to find a spot so decided to go to the smaller grocery store. When I walked in saw this display and it make me smile. I thought – wow – this could be my photo of the day. Hope it makes you smile
