Temperatures reached the 50’s today but it was windy. We walked around Kinder Park today on some trails we had not been on before. I don’t remember all the markers for the different trails. We had to wait for the wind to stop blowing to capture this shot

To most people the first Saturday in May is the Kentucky Derby. But in Baltimore, it is the East Coast Kinetic Sculpture Race Championship
The race is hosted by the American Visionary Art Museum and the sculptures are custom built for the race and powered strictly by humans. The eight-hour race covers fifteen miles over pavement, through mud, sand and into the Chesapeake Bay.
The official winner of the race is the team that finishes in the middle.

Once a year the Bacon Ridge Park is open to the public. Hopefully one day soon it will become a park for hiking, nature study and other uses that is open every day. This is the third year we have gone for the annual Walk for the Woods. Today it was sunny and in the hike 70’s – perfect day for a hike.
