This morning was an icy wonderland. The crepe myrtle tree is in our side yard. It was 34 degrees this morning and everything was melting – so on the drive to work – it seemed like it was raining but it was just the ice melting from the trees

Thought I might try a photo challenge for March. The word for today is youth. Since it’s been snowy, icy and the roads and sidewalks are a mess, I had to think outside of the box As I was making supper, I realized that he only thing on my dinner plate that I would have eaten in my youth was the apple. A bit of snow this morning and then an icy mixture on on and off all day. I only ventured as far as the front yard to take some pictures. It was hard to get anything good since it’s still sleeting outside but this should give you an idea of the ice build up

We have never been to Downs Park in the winter when there was snow on the ground or ice on the Bay so decided to head to the Park today. The temperature was around 32 degrees and as long as the wind was not blowing it wasn’t bad outside The last time the bay turned to ice was in 1977 and we did not live in Maryland at the time. Lots of great shots and hard to decide. Snow and ice in the forecast for tomorrow morning so winter is not done yet so I guess March is going to come in like a lion and out like a lamb
