It stopped raining and the sun came out and blue skies. We headed to Waterbury Center Park only to discover it was closed. So we headed to Camels Hump State Park. It was a pretty ride to the park even though it’s past peak. We decided to hike the Camels Hump View Trail It’s a short hike. 3/4 of a mile. Lots of pretty views but we didn’t see Camels Hump. There was a spur off the trail that was not marked and looked steep that we didn’t take so that could have given us the view. We plan to go back next time we are in the area

After a short break at the Inn we headed to Stowe. There weren’t as many people there today

It was a little damp and rainy but we ventured out. First stop covered bridge by the path

Views from both sides of the bridge

Love the reflections

Then onto Emily’s Bridge which is supposed to be haunted. There was a lot of people there taking pictures and had to wait to get a clear shot

Then we went in search of a red barn didn’t find it but I did get some other great shots

Then we headed back to Stowe and was surprised to see we could get a shot of the church. I had seen pictures of this scene on Facebook but didn’t know where photo was taken

Another view of the church. We have been to Stowe lots of time over the years but never went on path behind the church. It’s where the 5 mile path starts.

Then back to the Inn

Left Saratoga springs this morning. We were going to take the ferry but it was damp and rainy so decided to take scenic route to Stowe Drove by Lake George. Could not believe all the cabins, motels and rental places.

Stopped at Crown Point

Drove thru Smugglers Notch.

It’s very narrow thru the notch. Tractor trailers cannot make it thru and if they try snd get stuck it’s a $2,500 dollar fine

Found some red trees in back yard of the Stone Hill Bed and Breakfast
