We headed to Downs Park for a quick visit. Headed to the turtle pond. The pond was covered in algae and scum but when we looked to the left we noticed the heron. We managed to get a couple of shots before it went into the woods.
We are headed down the trail and Michael turns and says shhh and let me have your camera. (my camera had a bigger zoom lens on it) We switch cameras and walk very quietly and slowly so we don’t scare the bird and then we realize it’s fake. Too funny – so we had to take a picture

Had to go to Annapolis on an errand and Michael surprised me by asking what he thought about getting a new camera. We had talked about getting a new camera a while ago but decided to wait a while. He didn’t have to wait long for my answer – YES. Now we will both have a great camera and won’t have to share anymore. So of course we had to stop at the Naval Academy on the way home to take some photos. This blue heron was nice enough to pose for us.

We had a late lunch at a restaurant in Tilghman Island. It was a beautiful day to sit outside. After lunch, we walked around the grounds and nearly missed this blue heron.

Another beautiful day so we headed to Downs Park. After we had walked for a while, decided to sit down on a bench by the water and look for photo ops. After we had been there for a while, i spotted the heron thru the trees. Since we didn’t have the bigger lens with us this is the best we could do. Like the reflections in the water and the leaves scattered around in the water and on shore
