Trying to learn how to use the camera with manual settings. Went for a short walk after supper and spotted these flowers in a neighbor’s yard. Their yard is beautifully landscaped and most of the flowers in bloom now are shades of purple.

If you think I’m pretty now – wait until I open up. I have always loved roses but was afraid to plant them in the garden. A few years ago I heard about Knock Out Roses and decided to plant one and see. I am amazed at how much the bush has grown – have lots of roses this year. I have been trying to take close up shots in the manual mode so after quite a few tries, I decided this was the best

When I got home tonight, I went out in the front yard to take more pictures of the white flowers. I have something in mind but haven’t been able to capture it yet. This is best of today’s try. Part of the problem may be that its windy again today.

Never did rain this night but it was very foggy this morning. Drove to the marina and took a bunch of pictures before work. Thought this one would make a good book cover for a fantasy novel.

My backyard is all trees. Several years ago while I was trying to clear some brush and clean up the backyard I came across this old push lawnmower. I decided to save it and its stayed in a part of the backyard. I had forgotten all about it until tonight. Another long day at work with little chance to photo ops so after dinner tonight, I went in the backyard to see if there was anything I could use for photo of the day. I was surprised at all the violets and especially how they grew around this old push lawnmower.

Was really surprised to see that it had snowed during the night. After I cleaned off both vehicles, I took a bunch of pictures. I was really surprised how this one turned out. Took this photo from our deck. It was one of the last photos I took before heading off to work. This picture ended up making the popular page on 365Project. A lot of people thought it had a magical feel to and I agree

Big project done. Deadline met. Meeting went well. Client happy Big sigh of relief. While I was doing the dishes after supper, I looked out the window and noticed how pretty the sky was. Grabbed the camera and headed for the marina. Got out of the car and the closer I got to the water, the colder it seemed to be. The wind was really blowing and you could hear the lines on the boats clanging. Did not realize it was that cold out. My hands were so cold and I did not have have gloves with me. I thought the groundhog saw his shadow and spring was here. So, I quickly snapped a few pictures, got back in the car and when I got home made some hot tea, turned on the gas fireplace and tried to warm up.
