We went to Deep Creek over New Year’s to see some snow and get some winter shots.  When we got there on Sunday there wasn’t any snow on the ground.  We had some snow showers and the ground was covered.  We got home today and the weather forecasters were predicting one to three inches of snow.  It started snowing around 5 and it’s still snowing  There is already about 3 inches of snow on the ground and it’s supposed to snow all night with several more inches of accumulation so…….. once again the weather forecasters missed the mark.  Took this shot from the dining room.

We were going to go on a hike today but the sky has been overcast all day and it looks like its going to rain.  So we decided to stay home and I did a bunch of baking and we did some errands.  Stopped at the local garden center to see if there were any good photo ops.  Lots of pumpkins.  Spotted these and there was a sign saying they were sweet pumpkins.  Have never heard of those – going to have to look that up

Stopped at the library this morning to drop off some books.  The flowers caught my eye.  It was so hot and humid that the pictures ended up with a misty dreamy look.  Could not decide which one I liked the best.  It was 97 degrees this afternoon and it’s supposed to be hot all week.

As I was driving out of the library parking lot I spotted these coneflowers.  At least I think that’s what they are.  Since I had never seen any this color I had to stop and take some photos,  When I got closer I noticed the spider.  Only had my point and shoot camera with me and wasn’t sure how clear the spider would show up.
