Round One. We were supposed to get several inches of snow last night and today but we barely got an inch. Not even enough to cover the grass. I went out in backyard to take some pictures and discovered the snow was slushy and there was not that much to take a photo of. I was hoping for more snow than this. We are supposed to get several more inches tonight and tomorrow so will have to wait and see. The Mid-Atlantic is supposed to get a lot of snow – too bad the storm could’t have left us with a little more snow

We have an owl in our neighborhood. He lives in some nearby trees and all of the neighbors keep an eye out for him. We have seen him fly over one day and have caught a few glimpses of him in the trees. The neighbors next door built an owl house with the hopes that he will make it his home

I have been wishing for snow but nothing much near Annapolis. There has been snow north and west of Baltimore and lots in Vermont and New York. We had a brief snow shower this afternoon so whenI got home from work headed to the backyard with my camera to see if I could get a few good shots

Kettle Pond
We stopped at the Owl’s Nest Overlook. We had to walk up a bunch of stairs to get to the top but it was well worth it. Some other hikers mentioned that you can hike around that pond so another reason to come back.
Osmore Pond
We were able to walk all the way around Osmore Pond –

The sun finally came out so we headed to Groton State Park. We have never been there before but have heard good things about it. There were a lot of ponds and trails so we will definitely go back This was on the trail around Peacham Pond
