Our 50th anniversary and we decided to head to Lake George. We never realized it is only an hour from Dorset, Vermont. It’s been years since we have been to Lake George. We picked the perfect day for a cruise and timed it just right and got there in time for a 1:30 cruise.

Sandbar State Park alongside Lake Champlain. There was only one other couple at the park. They had lots of picnic tables – imagine it must be really busy in the summer

View of Lake Champlain from the Grand Isles. We drove around the Grand Isle but were disappointed that there were not a lot of places to get good photos of Lake Champlain. We stopped at Grand Isle State Park only to discover that it was only for camping. They would not even let us walk to the lake to take photos – strange.
