Loved the colors in these rocks
Our first hot springs.
A view of the Gibbon River.
We stopped to see one of the waterfalls and noticed this squirrel hiding out. Michael managed to get one photo before he scurried away
Spotted our first elk just after we entered the park. We noticed a whole bunch of cars and trucks stopped by the side of the road so of course we had to stop and check it out. This young elk was munching by the river. There were quite a few people taking photos. He didn’t mind at all – just kept eating. Most of the people got within 15 to 20 ft of the elk. After we left, I started reading one of the park handouts – and they advise you keep at least 25 yards away from the elk! Oops.
All aboard – one of the tour buses. Spotted this on main street in West Yellowstone
