We had our annual awards dinner this afternoon.  We had something new this year – a team building exercise.  When we arrived there was a big gift bag on each table.  Once we got settled they told us to open the bag and we found a big box of legos and we had 30 minutes to build something.  Since it’s so close to July 4th we decided to do a flag.  What you see is the back of the flag which we are re-enforcing so we could flip it over.  We didn’t win but had a lot of fun.

A new living room window.  Buying new windows is almost as bad as buying a car.   Michael did a lot of research and we had a lot of contractors stop by the house for their sales pitch and estimates.  Finally settled on Clearview Windows and Siding – one of the first contractors we talked to.   The guys arrived early this morning and installed new windows on the front of the house.  They were very professional and did a great job – now let’s hope the windows do their job and live up to the hype

Please don’t pick the daisies.  Most nights I walk by an open field by the marina but don’t pay much attention to the field since it’s used for car and boat parking.  But one side of the open field now has lilies and other flowers in bloom.  So while I was taking pictures of the lilies I noticed some flowers in the back part of the field.  Imagine my surprise when I noticed this big patch of daisies.  I tried taking some photos the other night but they didn’t turn out like i wanted so tried again last night.  These turned out better

Went for an early morning walk before it gets too warm.  Met a neighbor at the boat launching site.  She was kind enough to tell me this was a mimosa tree.  I thought mimosa was a drink – who knew it was also a tree.  I wonder if a mimosa drink is the same color as this.  Will have to google that.

First day of summer but it’s been overcast and in the low 70’s.  We weren’t sure if it was going to rain or not so stayed close to home.  Walked to the marina – lots of bees and this one lonely butterfly.  Could not decide which photo we liked the best.  Thanks to everyone who told me yesterday’s flower was a hydrangea.
