Busy day today.  Had to run a bunch of errands.  As we were leaving Barnes and Noble, I mentioned to Michael that I still need a photo today.  So being the nice guy he is we headed to downtown Annapolis.  Lots and lots of people out and about since its parents’ weekend at the Naval Academy.  The plebes get to their parents and friends for the first time in six weeks.  Since we couldn’t find a parking spot we headed to the Naval Academy to park.  Have never seen so many big yachts docked in Annapolis.  As Michael was taking pictures, this little boat sailed by – perfect timing.  If you enlarge the photo you can see someone sitting on the cabin.

Went back to the beach on Sunday morning – a little later than yesterday and was surprised to see the same guy just getting ready to push off.  Told him the shot turned out great and he said I thought so – I am a photographer.  WOW – did not see that coming.  I asked what kind of photography and he said a wedding photographer.  The was no where near as amazing as yesterday  morning

Was really happy to see that this picture made the popular page on 365project.

When I go out to get the newspaper in the morning., I always check the clouds and the sky to see if there might be some good photo ops.    Since the sky looked interesting after the storms we had last night, I headed out for a walk after breakfast.  As I got close to the beach, I noticed a guy parking his truck.  He had a kayak on the back.  I started taking pictures and then he unloaded his kayak and all his fishing gear.  I said hello and isn’t it a beautiful morning.  He saw me taking pictures and said wait a minute and you should be able to get a great shot of me heading off into the sunrise and …… he was right.  I also liked this picture of him checking to make sure he had everything he needed for a morning of fishing.

It was late before I could go for a walk tonight n search of my photo of the day.  As I got close to the beach, I noticed the heron flying around and thought – darn, I missed it again.  Then I noticed it landed on the dock.  So I stopped and stood still for a minute and then slowly and quietly crept as close to the water as I could.  Took several pictures before he took off.  This is the best of the bunch.  It was dark and I did not have my telephoto lens with me – but it’s closer than the other night.    Guess I will have to take the big lens with me until I get a good shot of this guy.  Maybe the third time will be the charm
