On Saturdays, we try to go on a road trip. Today, the weather looked like it was not going to cooperate so we decided to run errands and then take a short trip to Downs Park. Spotted these purple irises and then I noticed the pagoda and decided to take a few photos. Was really happy how this one turned out. The Chesapeake Bay is in the background

Stopped at one of the beaches in the neighborhood before work this morning. Took a bunch of pictures of sunrise hitting the water. Then lunchtime we went on a long walk to Fells Point. I wanted something besides flowers. Took a few pictures and then my small point and shoot camera said – no more space and I couldn’t take anymore photos, Oh no… How can that be. I didn’t take that many photos today. Got home tonight and uploaded the photos only to discover there were no pictures on the chip. Oh no!!!!!!!!! Were gremlins at work while I was working this afternoon? I know there are a lot of beautiful flowers this spring but wanted something different for a few days. So…….. since we were meeting our son for dinner tonight, I took a quick walk around the neighborhood to see what I could find – so it’s more flowers. Hopefully we can get some good shots of something different on Saturday or Sunday although the forecast for tomorrow calls for rains. But this is Maryland and the weather can change any minute.

Never did rain this night but it was very foggy this morning. Drove to the marina and took a bunch of pictures before work. Thought this one would make a good book cover for a fantasy novel.

When I was growing up we had a small lilac tree in the backyard. It was the only tree in our backyard and the only place where we could get some shade. We also had another lilac bush in another part of the yard. So every time I see lilacs, I always think of home. We bought two small lilac seedlings last year and planted them in the yard but I can’t find them this year – so not sure what happened to them. Will have to buy some more and try again. Spotted this lilac bush when I got out of the car at the marina. Maybe it was a sign because I managed to get a lot of photos I really liked tonight.
