Several years ago my brother in law gave me a clipping from a Rose of Sharon bush from my childhood home. We planted it in our side yard and it seemed to do well until a couple of years ago. We transplanted it to another spot in the yard and hoped for the best. This year it seems to be doing great and this is the first bloom. There are lots of buds so hoping for the best

We met a good friend of ours at Arundel Mills for dinner tonight. Decided to eat at Cheesecake Factory. Our table was right by Maryland Live – the casino. So we could see people at the slot machines. After dinner, we decided to walk through the casino to see what it was like. The casino is huge and we were surprised by the number of people there on a Tuesday night. Took this picture with my IPhone – it did not turn out the best.

Growing up in New York we became New York Yankee fans and even though we have lived in Maryland for a long time we are still Yankee fans so when they are in Baltimore, we usually try to go to a game. I only had my point and shoot camera with me and I forgot to put the chip back in so we could only take a few photos.
