No wildlife around tonight and no color at sunset so decided to take a picture of our sunroom. So glad we added this room. We spend a lot of time there

How many books start out with it was a dark and stormy night?
Rainy gray afternoon

Decided to do a panorama of the backyard

A beautiful fall day but only a little color tonight

Last morning in Vermont. 4 days went by fast. we have been going to the Squire House in Dorset for over 10 years

Pond behind the house

Norwegian Wood Piles. It’s a space saving wood stacking technique. Once the barn was full of firewood they had to find a place for the rest of the firewood.

Made it home in time to see the sunset
We decided to drive the Mount Equinox Skyline Drive this afternoon. It’s 5.2 miles long and is the longest privately owned paved road in the US. The Green mountains, and the White mountains of New Hampshire can be seen to the east. The Adirondacks of New York are to the west and the Taconic and the Berkshires are to the south
We have not done that in years and was surprised to find a beautiful visitor center at the top.

It stopped raining. We drove to Hapgood Pond, Weston to check out Vermont Country Store Leaves are still pretty but not many reds
I

Rainy day in Vermont So what better time to go to my favorite bookstore. The Northshire Decisions decisions. Then we rode around looking for good photo ops

The leaves are starting to fall

Headed to Vermont. It was a beautiful drive. The leaves are awesome. It’s supposed to rain most of tomorrow so not sure if the leaves will last. Stay tuned

Two views of the same tree. We stopped at Merck Forest We have not been there in years but it’s such a beautiful day and the views are great
Foggy morning but it turned into a beautiful day. We drove alongside of lake George and then headed to Fort Ticonderoga. We both remember being there as kids. Then we drove to Crown Point and then took a long drive back to Saratoga on a lot of country roads. The scenery was beautiful.
The only downside was we left one of our cameras in the hotel and the one we left in the SUV had a dead battery so we had to rely on our iPhones
