We decided to head to East Sookie Park on Vancouver Island, Even though we had a GPS, it was hard to find the park. We ended up stopping at a marina and buying a map. Luckily they had a coffee shop there.
The Park is beautiful and you can walk along the water for miles

If you look closely you can see a lighthouse in the distance. Unfortunately, we didn’t bring our bring the big zoom lens with us

Aaron arranged for us to go on a late afternoon, evening whale watching tour. There are three pods of Southern Residents and we were lucky enough to see two pods meet. They were so excited to see each other. There are only about 80 of these orcas left in the wild. Please save our whales and our planet

Could not believe all the people on this whale watching tour – doesn’t look like there is much room to maneuver – so glad that we are on a small 30 ft boat and there are only 8 of us including the captain. We have room to move around the boat.
This boat traveled from British Columbia and since they have to travel at fast speeds to get to area where the orcas are they have to wear rain gear.
