June 6, 2012 – Kinder Park

While driving home tonight, I noticed that the clouds were just amazing – big and puffy and there were lots of them.  Since I love clouds, I  wanted to get some photos.  Decided to stop at Kinder Park and see if I could get some good shots.  Got out of the car and headed to the trail – wish I had some walking shoes on instead of heels.  It was a great night for a walk but since I had heels on I could not go very far.  I am just loving this weather.  While I was snapping away – a plane flew by on its way to BWI.

Another beautiful day – in the 70’s – that’s amazing for June in Maryland.  We decided to check out the refuge center in Laurel.  We walked on the Forest Trail – about 2 1/2 miles long and drove around the park.  The flowers were outside of the visitor center.  The water lilies were on a pond alongside the road.  We were not even looking for them.  What a nice surprise.    Will have to go back again to check out some of the other trails.  Will also have to check out the southern part of the park near Beltsville.

What a beautiful day – it’s in low 70’s and no humidity.  We opened all of the windows and decided that we needed to go some place.  Decided to go to Back Creek Park in Annapolis – one of the last places on our list of parks in the area.    My first thought was that it was going to be disappointing but then we walked around a bend and there were all these geese by the water.

How can it be June already?  Today is the first day of hurricane season and we had two lines of storms come through tonight.  This flower is in our front yard.  Love the color – wish I was more of a gardener.  Then I would know what to plant and where and have color in the garden all year long.
