Lin and Michael’s Photos 2012

Since I was the only one in our group working today, I had to go to the bank.  Went to our usual branch but the fire alarm was going off and they would not let anyone in the building.  So I decided to walk to the other branch.  The other branch is located in the B&O building that was built in 1906.  It is now the Hotel Monaco.  The lobby is very ornate and has two stone staircases, lots of stained glass and other ornate details.  Took a whole bunch of pictures and it was hard to decide which ones to post.  I thought the table lamp was too bright so I tried to turn the light off – only to have the knob on the lamp fall off.  I quickly looked around but luckily no one saw me – so I put it back on the table right by the base.

Lin and Michaels Photos 2012

Walked outside this morning to go to work and was amazed at the colors of the sunrise.  So, of course I had to drive to the marina and see if I could get any good pictures.  Took a bunch of pictures and this one turned out the best.  It’s amazing how every sunrise and sunset are so different.

Lin and Michael’s Photos 2012

This is view from our family room window. I have been trying to capture this view for a couple of weeks. It’s kind of hard because I have a bookshelf in the corner and the couch is close to the window. My previous attempts did not work out. So while I was cleaning, I moved the couch out of the way and thought let’s try this one more time. I took some pictures and then ran upstairs with the chip and said to my husband. Upload these and see if there is anything good while I continue cleaning. I started cleaning again and in just a bit he said come upstairs – I think the screen is causing problems. So I guess I better take the screen out and try again because who knows how much longer the leaves are going to be on the tree. Took some more photos and in fact at one point I was even laying on the floor trying to get a good shot. Anything for a good photo. So this is the best of the bunch. It could be better but at this point I still had to finish cleaning.

Lin and Michael’s Photos 2012

If it’s Saturday morning then it’s time for errands.  Stopped at our local Starbucks to get some caffeine to get us started.  Cars were lined up at the drive thru and we managed to snag the last parking spot.  They really need more parking.  Where did all the people in town used to get their coffee and tea before Starbucks opened.  While waiting in line I noticed this display caught my eye and of course I had to get out my IPhone and take a picture.  People probably thought I was crazy but I needed my photo of the day.

Lin and Michael’s Photos 2012

I know another fall photo.  Just could not help myself.  Fall is my favorite time of the year and red leaves are my favorite.  This year the red leaves seem to be lasting a lot longer.  Took day off from work and went for a walk around the neighborhood.  Spotted this beautiful tree in a neighbor’s yard and just had to stop and take some photos.

Walked outside this morning to go to work and noticed we had our first frost.  Started the car up, turned the defrosters on high and then got the camera out and started taking pictures.  If anyone walked by at 6:30 this morning they would have wondered what this crazy lady was doing outside walking around her yard,

I also need a new ice scraper.  The one I have is not doing the job.
