Grafton Country Store – there are still a lot of country stores in Vermont. They remind me of our family store. The Dorset Union Store is close to where we are staying and we have got sandwiches and goodies there for dinner several nights.

It took us 7 hours to drive from Moosehead Lake to Dorset. After we settled in at the Squire Inn we walked to the local country store to get a bite to eat and noticed some beautiful flowers on the green. This one came out the best
We had just finished a hike at Baxter State Park and were heading out of the park when we rounded a corner and this guy was in the road. We managed to get a couple of photos before he wandered off into the woods. We call him our $14 moose since that was the cost to get into the park.

On the road to Baxter State Park we passed thru this town and of course had to stop and take a photo. The paved road ends here and the dirt road to The Golden Road starts here. Not sure why its called The Golden Road

We went on a 4 1/2 hr cruise this afternoon. It was 73 degrees and it was a beautiful day to be on the water. Temperatures at home were 104 degrees so we were really happy we are in Maine
